Cary Gayheart is a Kentucky native and went to the University of Louisville for her undergraduate studies. For vet school, she decided to combine her love of travel with her career goals and moved to Dublin, Ireland to attend the University College Dublin. After graduation in 1999, she worked in emergency work for 2 years before settling into general practice. She joined the staff at Animal Doctors in 2011. She loves that the staff and clients feel like family and strives to make sure each experience in Animal Doctors is positive for the pet and the client. Her goal is to provide loving, compassionate care for all her patients through all their life stages.
She lives in Lyndon and shares her home with her husband and son, a Pug/Schipperke and two cats. When not working, she likes to enjoy her family, read, knit and sometimes sleep!
Diana joined Animal Doctors in September of 2016. She has over 25 years of customer care experience in many different fields. Three years ago she discovered her true passion was working with animals and their families. Diana looks forward to many more years getting to know our clients and helping them with all aspects of pet ownership. Her favorite part of her job is interacting with people and loving on their pets!
Diana and her husband have a teenager and also share their house with a lovable Aussie/Corgi mix named Maxx. They live in Louisville.
Wendy has been an employee of Animal Doctors since 1997. In that time, she has worked in every department from client care to medical care to surgery. Currently, she is the senior patient care assistant and handles inventory management for the clinic so she is super busy behind the scenes!
Wendy’s favorite part of the job is the family atmosphere and how close we are to our clients.
She is a graduate of the University of Louisville but is an avid UK Wildcat fan. In her spare time, she cheers on her Cats and enjoys the outdoors, listening to classic rock music (especially the Beatles!), and playing with her cat, Barnabas.
Brittany joined our team in August of 2016 after working with the Kentucky Humane Society for 3 years. She loves getting to work with our patients one on one as a patient care staff member, helping them live long and healthy lives. Her favorite part of the job is meeting our clients and seeing how much they love their pets.
She lives in Louisville with her husband and son and they share their home with a dog and 2 cats.
Paige has been working in veterinary clinics since she was 16. She graduated veterinary technician school in 1992 and has been working as a licensed technician ever since. Her favorite aspect of this profession (besides the animals) is being the "spoke person" for the pet to the pet parent. Helping clients understand the best care for their pet and getting to know the families individually are what keeps her coming to work everyday.
Paige grew up in Florida on a farm and has had many different species of animals. Currently, her family has a rescued pitbull named, Dozer, 2 cats (Kudzu and Mary Weebles), a guinea pig (Nibbles) and a bearded dragon named, Skitter.
She and her husband have two boys and as a family, they love to explore and do outdoor activities like hiking, paddling and fishing. They moved from Atlanta, Georgia and have lived in Kentucky for about 10 years and are loving the change of seasons and the slower pace.
