Our patients are often very nervous and intimidated when they visit us for wellness care. Combined with the anatomy of their mouth, this limits the effectiveness of our dental exams in an awake patient. When there is tartar, halitosis, or gingivitis evident in the mouth, we recommend an anesthetized cleaning with a complete oral health exam. We can then evaluate the health of the teeth, look for cancers of the mouth, occlusion problems, etc all while cleaning and brushing the teeth.
Because of the importance of dental care in your pet’s health and longevity we also offer Dental X-Rays to give the best possible evaluation of your pets oral health.
If your pet has brown/yellow teeth, bad breath, or is having difficulty eating, these could all be signs of dental disease. Please call us at (502) 267-4087 today to learn more and schedule your pet’s dental cleaning.
